Song Li Persistency Award for Chinese Learning
Our "Song Li Persistency Award for Chinese Learning", sponsored by the Song Li China Culture Foundation, was established to recognize the dedication of our Weekend School students who have devoted years of personal time to mastering Chinese through attending our Chinese language classes. Furthermore, we aim for this award to inspire all of our Weekend School students to demonstrate persistent effort and take pride in their Chinese language learning journey.
The guidelines for the Persistency Award for Chinese Learning are as follows:
- Eligibility is based on cumulative enrollment in our CHL and CSL classes at MLCCC Weekend School:
- 3 years of CHL or CSL classes - Certificate and $100 tuition credit
- 6 years of CHL or CSL classes - Certificate and $250 tuition credit
- 10 years of CHL or CSL classes - Certificate and $500 tuition credit(cumulative)
The above award levels are cumulative -- any student qualifying for a higher level award after receiving a lower level award will receive the difference in tuition credit.
- Pre-K classes do not count towards the Persistency Award.
- Enrollment for the entire school year is necessary for eligibility. For instance, tuition paid from Day 2 onward does not count as a full school year.
- Tuition credit is transferable within the same family (to a younger sibling), but not to a different family.
- The qualifying years do not need to be consecutive, as long as the total enrolled years reach the award levels.
- Eligibility will be determined based on MLCCC Weekend School's registration records.
- The award focuses on persistence rather than grades or performance.
- The award is for Chinese language learning; enrollment in non-CHL or non-CSL classes does not count.
- Only Weekend School language classes accrue toward this award; MLCCC Tutoring or Camp do not qualify.
- Qualified students must apply for the award, and only currently registered Weekend School students are eligible.
We congratulate our students who qualify for any of the award levels mentioned above. We also encourage all students to strive towards achieving the highest level possible!

Weekend School Testimonials
"We love MLCCC! My kids not only improved their Chinese, but also enjoyed all kinds of cultural activities held at MLCCC. The teachers are great, very loving and encouraging, and very responsible. Special events such as the Mid-Autumn Concert, Chinese New Year Gala and School-Year Assembly are always our family's favorite times. We have been so happy that we found MLCCC as our kids' weekend Chinese school for the past two years."
"We changed to the weekend school from another school-based program in the area. MLCCC staff were so welcoming and helped us find the right level for him. He fit right in. The teacher was excellent! The class was well structured around the lessons in the book with the right balance on the didactics and the speaking/practical part. The teacher did a great job managing the classroom and drew appropriate participation from several energetic boys and very quiet girls. My son loves Chinese and thrived at the school. We are not native speakers but he was able to make and sustain his progress. We are looking forward to the fall semester!"
"The Chinese Calligraphy and Painting class has been extremely fun and is also a therapeutic journey. I am looking forward to continuing with the class."
"MLCCC is a great place to learn Chinese language and culture. The Center is very well run and the teachers are excellent."
"Excellent cultural center. Well organized!"
